How do I make a claim with my international health insurance?

Making a claim on your international health insurance policy is straightforward once you understand the two main methods: direct billing and reimbursement.
Direct Billing
Direct billing means the hospital or clinic bills your insurer directly. You pay nothing (or just a deductible/co-pay) at the point of treatment. To use direct billing, simply present your insurance membership card and ask the hospital to contact your insurer. Not all hospitals offer direct billing — we can provide you with a list of approved facilities in Singapore and globally.
Reimbursement Claims
If direct billing is not available, you pay the bill yourself and submit receipts to your insurer for reimbursement. Keep all original receipts, referral letters, and medical reports. Most insurers require claims to be submitted within 90 to 180 days of treatment.
